Lunch Special @ Hill Country
So, you know how a make-your-own salad pretty much anywhere will run you somewhere between $8-$10? Well, at Hill Country you can get a delicious make-your-own salad, a delicious quarter chicken, and a drink (such as a Texas sweet tea) all for that same price. Go there. This is BBQ at it's best, people.
"Anyone can cook"
That's what I learned from Ratatouille so I decided to see if it was true. I chose to make my second favorite food: penne alla vodka.
Picture 1: The cooking process
It took over an hour to buy everything and prepare it. It was pretty good. My roommate described it as "delicious" but I don't know if he was just saying that. I've tasted better penne alla vodka. I don't know what the secret is. Perhaps I should use less tomatoes and more cream next time. I also did not have parmesan cheese, and I think that could have enhanced it.

Don't Forget about KoFoo
We have been pushing so hard to find new and relevant material for the blog that I have been neglecting the 2 or 3 places that used to be the only 2 or 3 places I EVER ate around here. So, taking a break from the new and exciting Chelsea lunch scene, I returned to my roots yesterday. That's right, I'm secretly Korean. KoFoo is still delicious and they still give you enough food to feast for 2 days. Yesterday I had the Jap Chae and today I had the rice it is served on top of mixed with the side of Kimchi (plus Nicole's side since she hates it). I know the kimchi is not for everyone (I saw the horror in Terry's eye's when he smelled what was cooking in the kitchen) but I wanted to put in a plug for this restaurant since I've heard a lot of talk about people being "over it". Get back on it people. Remember where you came from.

$1.30 Lunch
I admit there is nothing satisfying about yogurt and peanut butter and jelly for lunch but I was quite pleased at how much I paid.
2 Yogurts = $1.20
PB&J = ~$.10
Actually, with this soda I just got, the cost just went up to $1.55. Oh well. I'll probably have to use all this money I saved to get a larger dinner anyway.
